The 2017 Seattle Style Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert

Sunday March 12th 2017

The 4th annual Seattle Style Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Concert was presented by the Manuiki Foundation and was hosted by Harry B Soria of Territorial Airwaves fame and featured Blayne Asing, voted "Most Promising Artist of the Year 2016", along with the smooth sounds of LT Smooth, Grammy Award Nominee Stephen Inglis, Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award Winner Bobby Moderow, Aja Gample, wahine guitarist, singer/songwriter, and composer who just released her first album and Chris Lau who held it all together. Slack Key Guitar is an art form that is 186 years old that began in Hawaii in 1830 and continues to evolve today with performance around the world.

The concert was dedicated with aloha to our departed friend and aunty Jean Kealoha Cabunoc with a portion of the ticket sales going toward any remaining medical bills. Additional proceeds will benefit the cultural programs provided by the Manuiki Foundation.

Mahalo for joining us for an unforgettable afternoon of music from Hawaii. And mahalo nui loa to Milton Lau, Uncle Danny Kaopuiki, Aunty Manu Lono, Moana Kokame, the haumana and 'ohana of Halau Hula 'O Lono and the Manuiki Foundation.

A hui hou!

Produced by Milton Lau and Ka-Hoku Productions.
